In an announcement all too long in the making, Lexpat is proud to share that Alexis Martin joined our team late last year as our Senior Consultant for Development and Government Programs.

Alexis is a widely-recognized expert in human rights, communications, and rule of law program development.  She also has extensive experience in business overseas.  Alexis spent a dozen years living and working in Central Asia and the Middle East, working for and supporting various USAID and United Nations programs, including several that focused on mass media and democracy development.  She also managed two small businesses in highly volatile, transitional regions.

“Alexis is all about facing down challenges and coming out bigger, better, and stronger for it,” says Lexpat’s Managing Director, Adam Pearlman.  “She knows the challenges of running business operations in developing and transitional environments.  And she certainly knows how to apply that expertise to public sector improvement initiatives to develop and run effective grant programs.  We’re so thrilled to have her on the team – it seems that every week she finds new ways to guide our clients through seemingly insurmountable challenges!“

Working principally with Lexpat’s Public Sector Services Division (PSSD), Alexis focuses her efforts on growing Lexpat’s and our clients’ grants and contracts portfolios.  “Alexis’ extensive background in global development allowed her to immediately assume a role as  a senior member of our development team,” notes Jane Ellen Paschall, Lexpat’s Chief Operating Officer and PSSD head.  “An unabashed go-getter, incredibly resourceful, mission-focused, and fantastic to work with, she is a key figure in our strategic growth, and has already contributed to some great wins for our clients.”
